About

I am a senior majoring in Health Services Management with a minor in Public Health. At the start of the semester, exploring different career paths helped me understand myself more and what I actually want long term. I realized I am interested in leadership, organization, and how systems run, especially in spaces that impact people’s lives.

As I continue growing professionally, I see myself stepping into executive leadership, either in healthcare or the corporate world. I am focused on building strong management, communication, and decision-making skills that will prepare me to lead at a high level. My goal is to become a leader who improves systems, creates opportunities, and makes a lasting impact.

Connecting Dots

Why Health Services Management?

I chose to study Health Services Management because I have always wanted to work in healthcare, but not in a clinical role. I knew I wanted to be part of the healthcare field, but I was more interested in leadership, organization, and how systems operate behind the scenes. I wanted to understand how hospitals and healthcare organizations are managed and how decisions are made.

To me, Health Services Management means improving healthcare systems so they run efficiently while still putting patients first. It connects business, strategy, and people. Strong leadership in healthcare directly affects quality of care, access, and overall outcomes. This field gives me the tools to lead and make an impact without being in a clinical position
